Feel Down, Saddle Up « Thread Started on Jan 21, 2008, 11:05pm »
Tressa walked quickly through the camp grounds as she headed toward the stables. She didn't have her sketch book, which was surprising for even her. She was still several yards off for the stable when she stopped for a moment and sighed. She remembered the last time she had ridden a horse. She fell off. Was she ready to take on another horse afte so long?
Yes. She would. She continued walking again. So enough, she was in front of the stable. She blinked. This was it. She walked in and stopped. She took a helmet that was hanging from the wall. She placed on her head and walked through the lines of stalls filled with horses. She smiled as she looked at all of them. Most of them were ponies, she didn't want a pony. She wanted a challenge.
The last stall held a beautiful black stallion. She stopped and looked at him. His eyes showed kindness, but his actions showed aggresiveness. She could handle it. "Hey there, boy,," she whispered gently. Her mother said she had a touch for a horse's heart. He stood still and watched her. Tressa opened the stall door and slowly walked in. She reached her hand out so her palm was facing upward. The stallion came closer and nibbled gently at her palm. She smiled. For the first time since she arrived there, she smiled.
She turned around and grabbed the bridle and saddle near his stall. She gently placed the saddle on the ground. She pulled the bridle on his muzzle and tighten it gently. She turned around and pulled the saddle off the ground. She heaved it onto his back, and tightened the girth. She smiled. She grasped the reins and pulled him out of the stall and began walking toward the back end of the barn.
Keela walked into the stables. She wasn't planning on riding, she just wanted to look at the horses. She loved all animals, and just beening in the same room as animals, made her happier. It took her a few seconds before she realized someone else was in there. Keela watched as the girl tracked up a blavk horse. "Getting ready to ride...him?" she asked.

Tressa had just finished tacking up the beautiful stallion in front of her. She rubbed his head gently and smiled. She turned around and saw a blonde girl there. Then, she asked if she was going to ride him. She didn't want to be snotty. "Yeah. You want me to saddle a horse up for you?"she asked. She knew most people didn't know how to saddle a horse. She knew how to, and was quite excited to actually ride a horse here especially the stallion standing next to her.

Keela bit her lip, thinking about the girl's offer. She had ridden horse a few times before. "Um, sure," she said after a minute. "But I'm not really good, so I want a horse that would be good for a beginner like me..." she finished.
